Polvoron

Polvoron.   It’s Philippine special goodies and it was from my boss again.

“Polvo”  in Spanish is powder or dust.  It is a type of heavy, soft and crumbly Spanish shortbread that made of flour, sugar, milk powder and nuts.

Philippines version of Polvoron uses large amount of milk powder and comes in different flavor.

Polvorones are popular holiday delicacies in Manila.

It’s very powdery and my children love the strong taste of milk.
