Nutty Florentine Cookies

Oooo….  It’s been way too long since I’ve updated my last blog!  Yes, this is what it happens to people like me that have a busy day job.  But I’ve never forget that I’ve something to do for my blog.  Haha!

This Nutty Florentine Cookies is such a wonderful recipe which I wouldn’t want to miss posting it on my blog.   It’s the simplest delicious cookies that I’ve ever made as the pre-mix Florentine Powder does all the magic.

There’re many brand of pre-mix Florentine Powder selling in the market.  The one I used is Bienetta Florentine Powder which I was told it made from natural and high quality ingredients.

All you need to do is just to mix the almond flakes and your choice of nuts or even dried fruits if you wish, with the premix powder and spread them evenly and then to bake straight away in the oven.  Yes!  It’s that simple.

These cookies are so amazingly delicious with a deep nutty flavor.  When I took the first bite of the cookies, I was blown away.  They are crispy and crunchy with a tiny bit of chew and it’s totally worth the effort and time to make them.

HAPPY BAKING!

INGREDIENTS

100g          Bienetta Florentine Powder
100g          Almond slice
25g            Pumpkin seed
25g            Sunflower seed
20g            White sesame seed
¼ tsp        Salt

METHOD

Mix the ingredients together and spread evenly on a lined baking tray. Level the spread to as thin as possible, if you prefer thinner crisps.

Bake at preheated oven of 160°C for 10-12 min.

Remove from oven and while the crisps haven’t hardened up, you may use a pizza cutter or a sharp knife to slice the cookies into square or rectangular shape.

The caramelized layer will harden up within a minute or less.  When the cookies are completely cooled, store them in an airtight container.
